How should I convert a 4′ mini halfpipe to a 6′ with vert?

Of course it’s best to start with the end in mind, it will save you some serious hassles and headaches. So the original question was phrased like this:

‘How easy is it to convert to vert? Would that
make the ramp 6′ or 8′ tall?
Is there enough flat bottom on the 4′ to
increase it to vert or would you have to make
the flat bottom longer as well?’

You can convert the plans easily, with out having to make modifications to the rest of the ramp, assuming you haven’t changed the flat bottom. Essentially when you draw your transition, you just carry the curve over to the next sheet of ply as the blueprints indicate. If the 27′ long ramp is a problem then you’ll want to sacrifice some deck length before going shortening the flat-bottom. If you decide to make your ramp taller than 6′ like 8′ for example, you’ll really want to consider widening the ramp from the original 8′ width.
